As your Labour Member of European Parliament, I aim to ensure that your voice and views are represented in Brussels.  To do that I must hear from you and welcome any comments you have! I am keen to listen to your opinions, promote your causes and deal with your problems or issues relating to the European Union. My priorities in the Parliament include combating racism; quelling the negative effects of globalisation; eradicating poverty world-wide; and ensuring that so-called “states of concern” turn towards negotiation rather than terrorism.  Like many of my constituents, I have campaigned for many years on animal welfare and the environment.  In my spare time, I am an avid Manchester City fan and watch them as often as I can.  This interest helps me in my role as Vice President of the Sports Intergroup.  I have also campaigned hard to kick racism out of football.

Through this website you will gain a deeper appreciation of what the European Union and Parliament does for you.  Contrary to the myths propagated by Eurosceptics, these institutions have contributed significantly to improving the lives of all of us.  I will work to ensure that this continues to be the case.
