In the European elections of 2004, Gibraltar was made part of the South West MEPs' constituency, up until this point Gibraltar was unrepresented in the European Parliament.
In February 2007 Glyn was the key note speaker at the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party (GSLP) AGM. The GSLP find itself 8 points ahead in the most recent poll and are working hard to make sure they secure a strong victory in the election, to be held in 2007.
Glyn gave his full support to the campaign while warning 'The only poll that counts is the poll on election day'.
Glyn campaigned long and hard to ensure that Gibraltarians were finally given a voice in Brussels. He was delighted when it was integrated into his constituency given the long-standing relationship he has with the GSLP, of which he is now a member.
In 1981, he first met with Joe Bossano, GSLP's Party Leader, thus Glyn has had over twenty years to gain an insiders understanding of the views of Gibraltarians and is now keen to transfer this understanding to a European level.
